Music Video Idea 2
This idea was inspired greatly by this music video. I really like the idea of a secret from the audience and then slowly revealing what the music video is about. I thought it was really clever how such a simple game can be turned into such a tantalising video and such an original idea.
My idea is quite similar and I'm not 100% convinced it could work as it's quite random but I had an idea of a music video about 'thumb wars'.
So it wouldn't really have to be focused on the artists so it could be a band, male, female etc but the main theme would be creating an enetertaining video. One of the songs I could use could be MS MR's 'Fantasy' or 'Hurricane'.
The concept would be a 'Thumb War National Competition' and during the video we would see close ups of people stretching and warning up, cracking their buckles etc making the audience guess what they are preparing for.
It would then be revealed about a minute into it what it is. Obviously I have to think more in depth about this idea and how it could last for 3 minutes. I know what kind of shots I want like ECU's of thumbs with drawn on faces to distract their opponents and other shots like people getting into arguments about the rules etc.

Music Video Idea 1
I really like this music video because I think all the cutting and different sets make it so interesting.
My idea for this music video would be non-narrative and be a performance from a main lead and then lots of dancers (male and female).
The main theme for this concept would be just to have loads of really cool backgrounds, floors, projections, costumes and lighting to make it visually exciting.
The song I would use would have to be very dance-y like Ida Corre's 'Let Me Think About it' or similar because of the quick cuts I want to add.
As I say, I have no idea what the actual point of the video would be- I just have a base of things I want to include in it.

Wix Exersise
As the A2 course approaches I need to start preparing for what I will have to do. One of our tasks is to create a front web page for an artist of our choice and edit the website to how we want it to look, as we will be doing this in a few months time to complete our music video package.
During the process of creating this website I realised how its actually quite difficult as there are many elements to consider and you have to stick with a running theme throughout so that the audience can recognise and relate to the artist.
I went for The 1975 as they have a well established black and white theme running throughout, ranging from their albums, to dress sense and everything else! Whilst creating my website I found it easier knowing I had a particular theme to go with as it meant I could play more with the display and little details other than worrying about images etc.
As you can see below I re-named the top titles to what I think worked better and would relate more to he band, like having a blog which helps raise awareness to other social media audiences. I added cool concert images as I think it highlights the bands personality and shows the audience what there about. In the 'latest' section I decided just to add a few of their most recent music videos as well as on of their more well known song. Within the music section I just added a snipped from their SoundCloud page as it means fans can access their music even quicker and easier (as we all know in this day and age its so easy to publish your media on a range of different websites). Beneath that, there is all the social media emoticons where fans can follow and access the band members and their music, updates and new tour dates etc as well as increasing in popularity (hopefully).
Overall I really enjoyed creating this website and I'm really looking forward to creating another one that will relate to my actual artist.
Own Attempt of a Literal Video
During the last few weeks of term, Adam suggested that our class attempt our own version of a literal video. I was with Luke, Leona and Jess, together we decided to do Take That's 'Back For Good'. During the process we learned that it's actually quite hard to create lyrics over the top and that trying to make sentences ryhm and be funny at the same time is difficult.

Literal Videos
Today was all about literal videos. We discussed different songs and videos and watched some of the 'comic' literal videos as the lyrics had been changed to what is actually happening in the video. I also realised that it's actually quite hard to do a literal video as making sure the time and lyric sequence match and also adding a bit of humour can be quite tricky.
Here are a few of my favourite literal videos.
